Meet Anthoni Avila of Orange

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthoni Avila.

Hi Anthoni, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started Orange Runner Club in August of 2024 with my best friend Lucas. Initially we started off by running with a couple of close friends from Orange just for the fun of it, and quickly thought “hey, why not make this kind of like a social thing and we can promote health and fitness through it?” Despite being an athlete my entire life, running was something I never really did much of, so I wanted to challenge myself but I also wanted to also create a fun experience by having others join us on these runs. My friends and I have always been very social and enjoy creating fun experiences for others, so it only made sense to start running with other like minded people from the area. The first run we did was about 10 people. and that alone was mind blowing to us. I just remember feeling so proud of ourselves that we were able to get 10 people to take time out of their day’s to join us on a run. Our growth was a snowball effect, each run started getting new people each time and before we knew it we started getting 70+ people at our run clubs, within our second month. With the success we were having early on we caught the eye of local businesses, and we were able to land our first sponsorship within the first 5 months, which was a huge milestone for us. Fast forward to today and we are finalizing our 2nd and 3rd sponsorship. Likewise, ORC has gained hundreds of new people at run club from all parts of California, and all walks of life sharing one common goal and that is the importance of fitness through community. The memories and relationships formed through ORC are priceless, and is something that we will take with us for the rest of our lives. Our mission at ORC has always remained the same- bringing the community together one step at a time.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Despite having success very early on, we have definitely experienced obstacles we’ve had to hurtle and overcome. Like anything meaningful in life, it’s going to come with its ups and downs. We recognize that, and the lessons that come with that only makes us stronger and motivates us to accomplish our goal(s) that much more. The important thing is understanding you’re going to have days where you don’t necessarily “feel like” doing it and that’s totally okay but the key factor is remaining consistent and not letting that discourage you. We look at it as getting 1% better each day despite all the trials and tribulations along the way. Consistency over Intensity.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
In a simple answer, I am an entrepreneur in the fitness/creator space . I am the owner of Orange Runner Club based out of Orange County, California and I am also a hybrid athlete. When I’m not working on my run club I am training, which usually about 5-6 days a week. I train year around and I compete in various marathons. I specialize in hybrid training (running and weight lifting), which I help train clients with as well. Even though my content is mainly about fitness, I do post a lot about my lifestyle from how I run my business behind the scenes to other side projects I take on as well. I believe we all have so much to contribute to this world and I believe on capitalizing on every opportunity that comes your way. Never limit your self.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory was when I met Kobe Bryant at his basketball camp in the summer of 2009.
