Candle making was just a hobby, but in 2012, while blessing baby shower candles that I had poured for the coming birth of my granddaughter, Dawson, a vision of a fruitful business and its’ purpose came to light. Titles, later paired with fragrance blends, began to pour out of my heart and onto paper. “Thirty-one!” I counted, then read the last scripture in Proverbs, 31:31, which says, “Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.” This was confirmation… and the destiny of Intentional Illumination Soy Candles was born!
At Intentional Illumination, we’re not only making divinely scented soy candles, we are changing lives – one candle at a time! We’ve prayerfully selected 31 premium fragrance/essential oil blends to create purposeful aromas that trigger senses to ignite the soul. Our candles are hand-poured with heart and blessed with intention! Crafted of pure USA-farmed, GMO-free soybean wax, and all-natural beeswax coated cotton wicks.
Soy candles are the “good consumer’s choice” for green candles. Intentional Illumination candles are the perfect complement to a conscious, healthy, and environmentally clean home. Our candles are dye-free and do not contain any added chemicals, thus maintaining the purity and integrity of the candle – for a longer and cleaner burn.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It was a year-long journey… and somewhat of a science project finding the purest of ingredients and perfecting the quality of the burn. Building the website, social media, etc., and just the foundation of launching a business in general was NOT my giftedness… at all! Thankfully, specific people were placed in my path along each step of the way – providing experience, knowledge and the tools needed to build the business from the ground up. There were many, many days that I got discouraged… but I held on to my faith, the vision, end goal and just had to trust that the way WOULD be made.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Intentional Illumination – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Our product line has just been picked up by Bristol Farms extraordinary stores and will be available on shelves by this Fall, with more chain stores soon to follow!
Our future plans are to open a retail storefront / warehouse space in the Valley area where we will also offer our customers the opportunity to pour their own candles and host candle pouring parties in a dedicated space.
We’re currently adding new products to our inventory line: Reed Diffusers, Roll-on Fragrance Oils, Goat’s Milk Soap and Bath Soak.
