Today we’d like to introduce you to Annaliese Lewis.
Annaliese, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Well, I since I was a little girl I have always been creative in everything I do. In dressing up in wild outfits as I sing and dance while watching myself in the mirror. In making my own perfume with flower petals and water. You get the general picture.
So, it was just natural when I started my entrepreneurial journey. When I was 15 years old, I started making/selling my beaded jewelry to friends and family. I then started added hair accessories and little box purses. I continued that into my 30’s and sold my items in hair salons, coffee shops and boutiques. Then my direction switched to other Creative endeavors. I started making scratch made gourmet cupcakes that I sold at local artisan craft fairs and roller derby events. I also did custom orders for weddings and parties. (I even made cupcakes for my own Halloween wedding.) I ran this business part time for about 3 years while I still worked a full-time job. Until I was offered a promotion at my full-time job which I took but didn’t allow time for me to continue the cupcake business. I took a big break from creating like 2 years or so if not pursuing any type of entrepreneur business. It wasn’t until I started a new job managing a local metaphysical bookstore about 1 1/2 years ago did I realized my true passion and gift is to help others. It made me realize that I need to use my Creativity and my Intuitive gifts and skills to help others. Which has lead me to my new business: Creatively Intuitive.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Well, it hasn’t been rough or necessarily smooth but more a twisty road. I am a creative crafty person by nature. So I have always been interested in creating new exciting things and experiences, which has taken me in many different avenues. But my biggest struggle for me was finding what “fit me”. All the things I have done in my life thus far I have enjoyed and loved, but I always doubted myself. Until recently, when I realized I am all these things all of my paths, have led me here, to do and encompass all of my creativity into one.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Creatively Intuitive story. Tell us more about the business.
Creatively Intuitive is in essence me Annaliese. I created Creatively Intuitive this past April out of all the things that are me. I have done many different things throughout my life which has all come together to make what Creatively Intuitive is today. I offer Intuitive Clairvoyant Angel Card Readings, Creative Living Workshops, Essential Oil infused snacks and cupcakes, Essential Oil rollerballs/smudge sprays, jewelry, accessories and Creative Support for Small Businesses. What sets me apart is my love and gift of creativity along with understanding.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Luck! Always good, just not always the way I thought it would be. It has driven me in all the ways that needed me to be here now.
