Meet Anita Kopacz of Zero F’s Given in Mid-Town LA/ NY

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anita Kopacz.

So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Zero F’s Given (ZFG) is a campaign to raise awareness and help victimized and disenfranchised populations heal from sexual trauma, find their voice, and reclaim their power. Zero F’s Given launched as a tee shirt campaign to help The Center for Safety & Change, a nonprofit, tax-exempt community organization serving victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other violent crimes in Rockland County, New York.

After graduating from the University of Santa Monica with an MA in Spiritual Psychology, I knew I wanted to help people heal from sexual trauma. I was a molested when I was seven years old, and I had spent most of my adult life trying to heal myself. I realized that there were not many women from marginalized communities in the healing spaces that I had joined. I created ZFG to help close that gap.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has not been a smooth road. It is a very emotional path trying to take on the energy of healing sexual traumas. Luckily, many people have helped me and understood the mission. My biggest lesson has been creating healing circles with women. They can hold space while we dive in and explore traumas, dance, be accountable for our growth and set intentions. It takes a village to heal a trauma.

Please tell us about Zero F’s Given.
Zero F’s Given has proudly helped women around the country heal from sexual traumas. Through awareness campaigns, retreats, programs and grocery cards, we have provided a safe place for women to Restart their lives.

80% of the tee-shirt revenue going to the Center for Safety & Change. The money goes to programs that help women and young girls who have been trafficked, raped or in domestic violence situations.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I could start all over…I would learn to delegate and have a team.
