Meet Angie Rupert of Rupert Law Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angie Rupert.

Angie, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
It’s been a long journey to get here, but it has all been worth it! After graduating from Loyola Law School, I worked as a plaintiff’s mass torts firm. We were doing great work for our clients, but it really wasn’t for me.

After that job, I worked at a law firm in Woodland Hills and after years of soul-searching, I discovered investment immigration, specifically, E2 investor visas. This is truly my calling. Helping entrepreneurs come to the United States is a pleasure. I have some of the most innovative and courageous entrepreneurs in the world as clients.

The businesses they run are always unique and interesting, and their work ethic is second to none. I feel incredibly lucky to help these amazing business owners and their families immigrate to the US.

Has it been a smooth road?
Oh my goodness, no. It took years to get here. I worked in Manhattan Beach, at another law firm in Woodland Hills; then I took a break from the law and finally started my own investment immigration law firm. All along the way, I kept an audio journal on my phone. It’s so interesting to listen back to the journal entries of the days when I was driving across the Valley to a job I’d outgrown. It was such a difficult time in life.

Something was calling me, but I didn’t know what. I was lost and unhappy but had no focus. Ugh. Makes me shudder even thinking about it all these years later. Then, I had a baby and was trying to work so hard at the same time — it was a mess! I wasn’t sleeping, I wasn’t performing at work and I wasn’t being an attentive mother. I was a huge disaster, but I had no idea how to fix everything.

Eventually, I quit my job. I was completely burned out and needed a break. My poor husband had to carry the financial load for so long. When I began working in the foreign investment world, everything came together. I still keep my audio journal, and there are still incredibly difficult days. But those are getting fewer and fewer. It’s amazing how finding the best career fit solves too many of the problems I had in the past.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Rupert Law Group – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We focus on foreign entrepreneurs. This is what we do. There are only a handful of firms across the country that focus on these investors, and we’re proud to be one of them. Not only are we one of the few firms to focus on E2 visas, but we are also incredibly indulgent when it comes to clients. Our focus is on personalized service and a step-by-step approach to the E2 visa process. We hold a lot of hands and take a lot of phone calls. I work incredibly hard to put my clients at ease.

This is an unbelievably difficult time in their lives, and I work to ensure that the immigration piece of their new business is as easy on them as possible. They have enough to think about, and I don’t want them guessing or wondering about their immigration status. As a result of my intense focus on my clients, I limit my caseload. It’s so important to give each client the attention he or she deserves. The primary focus on one type of visa (the E2 visa) and the one-on-one customer service are truly what set Rupert Law Group apart.

What are your plans for the future? What are you looking forward to or planning for – any big changes?
There will be changes, as there will be in any industry in the next 5-10 years. I’m hoping to see more investors come to the US. When small business owners win, we all win. These investors create so many jobs and generate so much money for the US economy. It’s my hope that the White House recognizes what an incredible asset these entrepreneurs are, and embrace them as a crucial part of the US economy.
