Today we’d like to introduce you to Angie Leon.
Hi Angie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey as an influencer began at the age of five when I first became obsessed with the world of fashion. I started my career participating in local beauty pageants. Years later, after relocating from Mexico to the United States, I developed a passion for sharing my story on Instagram and began to take on the role of an influencer more seriously. To this day, I seize every opportunity and embrace risks whenever I can. Being a micro-influencer has challenged me not only to take risks but also to collaborate and communicate with people from all walks of life. I enjoy the constant growth and the genuine connections I make with my audience through this incredible journey and I’m excited to see where life takes me.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
At the start of my journey as an influencer, I experienced a relatively easier path to gaining a following, thanks to a past relationship with another content creator, I gained a significant amount of support from his audience. The part I feel I struggled with the most was being able to reach out to brands to create new relationships. One of the challenges a micro-influencers like myself must overcome is learning how to effectively manage connections with companies and ensuring that the brands I promote align with my personal values and identity.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Besides fashion and lifestyle, I’m known for being authentic, genuine, hardworking, and warm-hearted.
I am very proud of so many things I have accomplished in a short period of time, and one of them is actually being interviewed by this awesome magazine VOYAGE, that has allowed me to be part of this platform, and we’re intrigued by my persona. I believe that being able to be here and have people interested in hearing my story and getting to know me a bit more says a lot of myself, and that’s what I’m also most proud of.
Like mentioned before I would like to think that I’m very different from others because I’m a genuine person and many can connect with me easily. I can always be there to listen and help with anything I can, I always chose to be kind to everyone and support in any way, and not a lot of us can be able to do that.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I aspire for my work to serve as a testament to all those who want to explore the world of creativity and fashion. My ultimate goal isn’t solely to ignite inspiration in others but to also provide a beacon of guidance, particularly for those who admire and follow my journey. While I may not have reached my desired destination just yet, I am continuing my commitment to progress along this path. I truly believe that ‘anything is possible.’ No matter how hard things get on this journey. I hold on to that belief. My message is simple: Never lose sight of your dreams because they have the power to shape your future and ignite your potential.
