Today we’d like to introduce you to Angelo Reyes.
Angelo, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Always being on my phone, my parents would always tell me that I needed to get off of it because if I did not, I would end up having to get glasses just like everyone else in my family, but fast forward to eight years later and my eyes are just fine. Whenever I would be on my phone, I was always on different social media outlets. Being a natural communicator as well as a Communication Studies graduate, I had no problem conversing with individuals and then turning to social media so that we could be able to keep in touch with one another. Upon entering college, I was not exactly sure what I wanted to major in, but shortly after discovering that there were careers that one could be able to pursue that revolved around social media, it had sold me on declaring Communication Studies as my major.
As my years in college progressed, I would begin to gain experience such as being a social media manager, an event coordinator, and working within public relations. With this experience, I would be given opportunities by Foodstirs Inc and ROCKNEVENTS to help me grow, elevate, and gain many beneficial skills pertaining to my career path helping me shape myself to be a driven social media strategist and communicator, equipped with the motivation, organization, and discipline it takes to deliver engaging results.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
None of us have no idea what we’re getting ourselves into, but life seems to have things planned out for each of us. It always questions why certain things happen to us but does not happen to others and that is the most interesting and also mysterious thing that makes one truly wonder why. Everything that we are faced with and come across helps us learn, but also teaches and guides us in a path that seems to be one step closer to what some of us are meant to do in our lives. We all have struggles that we are faced upon with every single day and all the struggles and frustrations that I experienced have taught me that there is a solution for it and that this temporary roadblock is helping us to further progress. Being able to look back now at all the struggles that I went through, I can say that I am thankful for those experiences because if it did not happen, I have no idea if I would be the person who I am today.
Please tell us about ROCKNEVENTS.
Currently, I am the Social Media Marketing and Branding Coordinator for ROCKNEVENTS. As a Social Media Marketing and Branding Coordinator, I help revamp marketing strategies, create content for social media outlets, assist in branding and company marketing, and co-direct various events. I am most proud that during my time with the company, everyone helps each other grow to better their craft.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would not do anything differently at all. If anything would have turned out to be different, even if it was just the slightest thing, life would be completely different, but everything that has happened, there was a reason for it.
