Meet Angel “AROCK” Castillo of BPM Supreme in Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angel “AROCK” Castillo.

AROCK, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I first fell in love with DJing about 20 years ago. Of course over time, a lot has changed in terms of technology and how DJs get their music. But what hasn’t changed is the urge to create something that moves the crowd. When I started BPM Supreme, I wanted to design a tool that would help DJs find all of the music they need in one place, and better their careers overall. Today I’m proud to say that BPM Supreme has the largest library of DJ-ready music available. We’ve changed the standards for how DJs discover music, and we’ve created a source for them to find the latest releases alongside exclusive remixes and edits that will bring their performances to the next level. Our music service supplies DJs all over the world with access to the music they need.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
When it comes to technology and building innovative tools such as the BPM Supreme platform, it takes time to perfect the product. It took a few years to achieve a platform that I was ready to release to the public. I’d consider those first few years some of the tougher times, but they were worth it in the long run. Both in business and in life, I believe the key is to keep pushing forward toward the goals you want to achieve and not let anyone stand in your way. If there’s a will, there’s a way and I truly believe that.

So, as you know AROCK, we’re impressed with BPM Supreme – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
What I’m most proud of is seeing how much BPM Supreme has grown. What began as a small start-up company with only two employees now has close to 50 employees in both San Diego and our newly opened office in Hollywood that we call BPM Supreme LA. Our team has launched unique products over the past few years as well, like the BPM Supreme mobile app that acts as an on-the-go music discovery tool, and BPM News where our users can find all the industry updates they need in one place. We’re always innovating, improving, and tailoring our products to meet the needs of our users, and I think that’s what sets us apart from others.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
In 2020, I’m very excited to reveal some of the new projects that we have in the works, such as our recent announcement of BPM Sounds, a new platform designed for beat making, creative DJing, and music production. This product and others in the future are going to extend our brand further into the music industry outside of just the DJ community. Also, this past year we opened our doors to our second location in Hollywood. BPM Supreme LA has already become a hub for DJs, producers, artists, and industry professionals to connect and collaborate. It’s really just the beginning of our story here in LA. Later down the line, we hope to open up in more cities around the country and even in other parts of the world.
