Check Out Andy’s Pet Grooming & Daycare in Sherman Oaks

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andy’s Pet Grooming & Daycare.

Thanks for sharing your story with us . So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
For as long as I can remember I was an animal person. I always had a dog at home. I loved playing with animals and I never had a fear of animals. Growing up I wanted to turn my love for animals into a passion. I realized early on that I had a knack for working with animals. I had a dog named Andy that I would bathe, groom and take care of. It never seemed like a chore but more like an activity I looked forward too. My friends and family started to notice my passion for working with animals and I began to work on their pets as well.

My passion started to pick up and I started a small business from home grooming and bathing pets. My small business grew and needed to expand and that’s when I decided to rent out a place on Riverside and Fulton and dedicate it to the best friend that started it all. That was the beginning of Andy’s Pet Grooming & Day Care.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The hardest challenge for me while working in my business was building trust with my customers who were giving me their pets, their family to take care of and make sure they’re okay.

Andy’s Pet Grooming & Daycare – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
My business is a pet grooming and daycare/boarding business. We groom and bathe animals and make sure they are all of their hygiene needs are met. We also have a daycare where we take care of people’s pets while they go about their day to day activities. We also offer a boarding service where we take care of the animals overnight for people who can’t attend to their pets for whatever reason. We specialize in meeting the need of our customers pets. We are proud that we are a local business in the community that get to serve our customers and create relationships within our community. The one main thing is that sets us apart from our completion is that we are able to give our customers the ease of mind that their family is okay and that they will be treated like they are a part of ours.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
My definition of success is having our customers leave with a smile on their face see you later until the next time our customers come back. The same customers coming back in give me the confirmation I need to continue what I love to do. My criteria are to make sure every pet gets treated like the superstar they are.

Treat them like their own owners will and make them feel like they are part of a family. I don’t want them to be scared because this is a place where they can feel safe. Make sure everything is done carefully not hurt the pets but make it as comfortable as possible.
