Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrew Miller.
Andrew, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Always enjoyed making games for friends and family. Made one that everyone loved. Fails on Kickstarter. Found an artist on the street. Made the game mechanics. Created the characters/ art direction. Self-funded the development over the course of two years. Found a manufacturer. Got an investor and made the company Offical. Went door to door to and got into Crusty Bunker comic shop in Burbank. Had a massively successful world premiere in February at Hilton LAX at Strategicon 2020. From that success, got into San Diego Comic-con. COVID hit huge setback. Happy to recover and looking forward to it!
Has it been a smooth road? If not, what were some of the obstacles you had to overcome?
Road not smooth.
Initially, the project failed on Kickstarter, kept pushing through fighting and fighting. Artist was notoriously difficult to work with. Made it happen anyway.

Biff’s Games primarily commitment is to make games that are PURE FUN and tell a story. People play games to be entertained. They don’t want to be bored by grueling game length, long set up, or overly complex rules. They want to forget their problems and enjoy life. If that appeals to you, pick up a copy of Hurt ‘Em! At the premiere, people entered the room, dressed as a laboratory, there was an actress dressed as a Scientist. There were fun lights, effects. It was an immersive experience for people to be introduced to the game. That’s what we set out to do.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Problems will arise. Obstacles are inevitable. Push forward no matter what. Fight each battle that’s in front of you. In a word, Perseverance.
