Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Santorsa.
Hi Andrea, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m a house and tech house music producer, and I started producing about three years ago. I’ve always been in love with electronic music — it’s been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. My biggest inspirations have always been the Swedish House Mafia; their sound and energy really shaped my vision as an artist.
What began as a passion quickly turned into something more serious as I dedicated myself to developing my sound and honing my craft. Over time, I’ve been lucky to achieve some great milestones — including multiple entries in the Beatport and Traxsource Top 100 charts. One of the highlights of my journey so far has been recently releasing a track with Grammy-nominated Canadian singer Shimmer Johnson. It’s been an exciting ride, and I’m just getting started!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road — especially in the beginning. One of the biggest challenges was getting labels to notice and sign my tracks. Breaking into the business side of the music industry is tough, especially when you’re just starting out with no real connections.
Another big struggle has been maintaining consistent artistic inspiration. You can know all the theory in the world, but putting that into practice — and creating something that truly connects — is a whole different story. There are highs and lows, but every challenge has helped me grow as an artist and push my boundaries.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a music producer specializing in house and tech house. My work focuses on creating tracks that blend groove, energy, and emotion — music that moves people both physically and emotionally. Over the past three years, I’ve developed a sound that’s starting to get recognized, with several of my releases making it into the Beatport and Traxsource Top 100 charts.
One of the things I’m most proud of is a recent collaboration with Grammy-nominated Canadian singer Shimmer Johnson. It was a huge milestone and a great opportunity to blend electronic vibes with powerful vocals.
What sets me apart, I think, is the balance I try to strike between strong production technique and artistic emotion. I’ve always been deeply in love with electronic music — artists like Swedish House Mafia really inspired me to follow this path. My goal is to bring that same kind of emotional energy into everything I produce. I’m constantly pushing myself to evolve, and even though the journey hasn’t always been easy, every step has been worth it.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was a shy and very well-mannered kid. I’ve always been respectful of rules and that’s still a big part of who I am today. Music has always been my way of expressing myself — it allows me to show my personality and share my passions in a way words never could. It’s been a powerful outlet for me, helping me connect with others and with my true self.
