Meet Andra Chirnogeanu of Studio20 in Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andra Chirnogeanu.

Andra, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Studio 20 started 5 years ago in January with one small studio in Bucharest.

2015 was the year I joined them, we had 2 studios in Bucharest then and it was also the year the studio started franchising, growing bigger and bigger, reaching 13 studios in the last 2 years in 4 countries (Romania, Hungary, Colombia, and the USA).

My job has not changed since I started, I was hired as the PR for the studio and also took care of the social media activities for the studio and models.

We then realized it’s a huge potential for marketing and branding in the adult entertainment world and that’s how the #girlsfromstudio20 was created and also how I started to grow from one-woman show in the Marketing Executive of my future marketing team.

The marketing department that I lead was only for the studios in Bucharest but by selling Studio20 franchises, the package offered the whole marketing ideas and content so then studios from all over the countries & cities that Studio 20 is located sent their marketers to Bucharest to get training.

My personal and professional growth in Studio 20 has been very fast, as most people from the industry or any other industry might say, the fastest they’ve ever seen and that is how it should be when you’re talking about something that you do with love and passion.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has definitely not been a smooth road as no road is smooth when you have to pave it yourself.

As I said earlier, the marketing and branding for cam studios and models have not been something usual and until Studio 20, nobody realized the potential of going from the adult industry into the mainstream with smart campaigns, smart offers and not sugar coating the job, the pay, the perks, the business.

Being genuine in an industry that is led by politics and who likes who has also been a challenge. I had to put my foot down as a person and let everyone know that I’m not taking any sides, that myself and Studio 20 enjoy competition (because at one point we were only competing with ourselves), that being nice and honest helps more than hurts anyone.

As any industry, as any job, as anything in the world, I had to be careful with what I said and done, not only from the marketing perspective but from the PR one. And it has proven to be quite difficult in a world of men.

I had, as a woman, to make the men that ruled and still rule the cam industry, respect me as a business person. There have been times when people would just not acknowledge me because I am a woman, from simple things like being introduced or introducing myself to speaking at panels.

Please tell us about Studio20.
Studio 20 is the first Live Cam Franchise Network in the world. It is now present in 4 countries (Romania, Hungary, Colombia and the USA)

When I say that Studio 20 is known for its motto, it’s the truth.

Our motto is “We Succeed Together” and that’s how we run our business.

When you say Studio 20 you say #girls fromstudio20 that in less than 1 year has developed into a cam phenomenon. They are the girls, the models that make our business grow. We offer them support and training, constant encouragement and everything that they need to feel comfortable, to be happy and to have a good time while they’re online.

We have understood that it’s a cycle. We make them happy, they make us happy, we need to be happy to make them happy and so on so that’s why one can’t exist without the other.

What sets us apart from the competition is our mindset. We enjoy competition, that’s the way we can innovate and improve ourselves. We believe a lot in the power of words and motivation, in the power of the people that work with us.

We’re most proud of the #girlsfromstudio20, the models that make our business grow, the way they grow up under our eyes, the way they feel empowered.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My childhood was a nice one, I grew up in the countryside, in a village near Bucharest, the capital city of Romania.

I would say that all my best childhood memories involve my brother. I have a younger brother that I love to death and we’re very close of age.

My favorite memory was when we used to sneak up late at night after we went to other friends’ houses, the way we always protected one another and stuck up for each other.
