Meet Amit H. of Mint Bartending

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amit H.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
After being a bartender for 5 years, I started ‘mint bartending’ as a side hobby back in early 2015, booking small events. Soon we realized there is a big demand for crafted cocktails especially in Los Angeles area & Palm Springs area. Soon after building a website, we started booking big events including weddings and corporate office parties. Now we book about 10-15 events per month depending on the season.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth ride especially the first year. We first started off with advertising on craigslist and ‘word of mouth’ advertisement. It started off only 2-3 events a month, but once we refined our service with a help of a top mixologist ‘Bryan Mcgee’ in Palm Springs we were able to book bigger events and bigger weddings. From building a website that’s more user friendly to hiring marketing company was difficult in the beginning. Getting reviews on Yelp was also a challenge.

Please tell us about Mint Bartending.
I’m the owner of ‘mint bartending’. I book clients whenever they are looking for a bartending service for any kind of event. I also specialize in creating the cocktails each event. Crafted cocktails are huge now especially in LA.

We are most proud of our excellent +5 star reviews from our clients. We want to make sure we give the best service possible. Seeing them happy especially on their wedding day is what I love the most.

What sets us apart is that we offer a lot more from our competitors. From doing free setup/breakdown of bar to free cocktail menu, we make sure we provide the best service possible for a very reasonable price.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
I grew up in Bangladesh and moved to California when I was 14. My favorite memory from my childhood has been with my family and my grandparents having dinner together.
