Meet Amber Susa of Allomi in Redondo Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amber Susa.

Amber, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
There came a time in my life when being true to myself was more important than anything else. I experienced a spiritual awakening after a very low point in my life that opened me to possibilities I had been too afraid to consider before. I said yes to the call of my soul when I opened Allomi (all-of-me). I had previously co-owned a successful boutique fitness studio when the desire to create a space with more holistic offerings became my priority. At my low point, I was experiencing debilitating low back pain that forced me to evaluate my approach to health and my life. A meditation practice changed my life and healed my body, and it became my mission to share my story and create a space with offerings to support physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. Thus Allomi was born and opened in January 2017.

Has it been a smooth road?
The road has been smooth and jagged, effortless and challenging, fulfilling and terrifying, Deciding to say yes to the call of your soul can be a very lonely journey, and many people will not understand why you must persist in the face of perceived failure. This has been a road of self-discovery and self-empowerment. I believe in my vision and mission, so when challenges arise, I carry on in faith. This is my first solopreneur venture and I am proud of what I have created. One of my favorite quotes is from Joseph Campbell, “Follow your bliss and the Universe will open doors where there were only walls.” This has been my mantra with Allomi. After being in business for a little over two years, the COVID-19 virus has forced me to temporarily close my doors for all in-person offerings. We have shifted and continue to offer over 20 live-streaming classes per week. I have an amazing team that shifts with me and supports the overall mission. This is the life of an entrepreneur on a soul mission … awareness, flexibility, belief and leadership.

We’d love to hear more about your business.

Redondo Beach is an absolutely wonderful place to own a business. The Riviera Village in particular, is a very special community to be a part of. We are a block from the beach and can see the beautiful ocean during every class. We are a health-conscious community and people are ready for a higher level of wellness. Allomi has an amazing team of teachers and facilitators who help make it an inclusive and welcoming space.
