Meet Kaylen Zahara of AmazedByKay

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kaylen Zahara.

Kaylen, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I began as a former L.A. Model at a very young age. I knew when I was little I had a charm and energy about me that made me stand out and made me special. I probably at some age realized that I was destined to be iconic and impactful in whatever I chose to do.

Once stepping into my teen and young adult years I like most felt lost and confused as to how I was going to obtain the lifestyle and vision I had of myself so I ventured off into not being my authentic self in search of my authentic self and eventually around the age of 22, it hit me, and I ran out of mask and lives to live that wasn’t mine.

We can fast forward and let me just say that the Universe and all the magic/infinite intelligence at that pivotal time in my life nudged me to have the courage to just start anew and embrace who I truly was. That self-love, self-healing, and self-transformative journey led me to the online influencer and motivator that I am today, living my truth, accepting my divergence, and evolving as I go.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
My journey has not been the smoothest at all, to say the least. Inner struggles like Hard-headedness, ego, self-worth, and outer challenges such as financial issues, rejection, toxic co-dependent failed relationships, etc. were all present for me at one point.

However, I do believe that if it weren’t for adversity and all of my trials, I would not be able to relate and help others heal and empower themselves. I’ve taught myself to accept my past obstacles in my journey and understand that you need contrast in order to decipher what is truly wanted or not wanted.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I specialize in communicating with influence. It is my gift. I have always had a great way with words, and my old soul has allowed me to be a bit more clairvoyant and wiser than my peers. So I’ve always had a natural take towards therapy, hosting, instructing, etc.

About four years ago, I starred on MTV’s Are You The One and it opened up the door for me to have an audience to communicate with (at their level, cool friend/big sister vibe) and impact them to make a shift and change within themselves.

I’ve been able to do this through the niche’s beauty, fashion, lifestyle, and not only help assist my audience, but I have made a living from it for four years.

As of late last year, I launched a limited online course that taught people how to get paid as an influencer and build their social media brand. The course was super successful, and the feedback has influenced a Summer 2019 re-launch.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was totally into pop culture, singing, modeling, and reality television. My personality evolved all the time, but I was known for making people laugh and not being the one to mess with.
