Today we’d like to introduce you to Alyssa Delone.
Alyssa, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My journey to becoming an entrepreneur/ esthetician started with me being laid off from my corporate job August of 2018. The company I was working for went under, leaving hundreds of us jobless & a severance pay no one living in Los Angeles could survive off of. Instead of trying to live off that money, I took it and invested into myself!
I had interest in becoming a Lash Artist prior to being laid off. I was miserable at my 9-5. The only thing I enjoyed about work was payday. With that being said, I decided to step out on faith and get my esthetician license. While in school, I began to fall in love with skincare and facial waxing as well. I love my client’s reaction after leaving my table. I enjoy enhancing people beauty! Whether it be a facial to work on skin goals, facial waxing to clean those brows and remove unwanted hair, or applying lashes for a more dramatic look, I love it all. It feels amazing being able to do what I love, while meeting amazing people along the way!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
This journey has not been an easy one, but it’s definitely been fulfilling. Being a new entrepreneur I’ve learned and am still learning that it’s a process. The pandemic of course has set me back in some ways due to the nature of my craft, but it’s also given me the opportunity to step back, and understand the business side of things in a greater way. This is only the beginning for Elite Glow Lab!

As a licensed esthetician, I specialize in skin care, facial waxing & classic eyelash extensions. I’m most proud of being able to say that through hard work, love, and devotion, I’ve built my own brand! The definition of beauty is different and personal for everyone, it is always changing and expanding. My mission is to have each of my clients achieve their own personal elite glow, and because of this Elite Glow Lab will always be personal, adaptive, and growing. I’m still wading in the very beginning stages of this journey, but can’t wait to dive into the deep end!
