Meet Alonzo Wright of Money Division

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alonzo Wright.

So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I am a native of Virginia by way of Washington DC. I’m an entrepreneur and avid creator. After serving in the U.S. Army, it was time for a change of pace. I moved to LA approximately two years ago in the pursuit of an audio engineering degree at the Los Angeles Film School and began assisting one of the instructors in the production of a monthly showcase on campus.

This led to me working with independent artists outside of the production and before long, I started managing talent. I was fortunate enough to be introduced to Lano Bandz (Djuan Keys) through his engineer and we’ve worked to develop his individual and collective goals inside and outside of the music industry.

Has it been a smooth road?
No, it hasn’t. Personally, the largest struggle was just allowing myself and those around me the patience and room necessary to grow. I feel, being an independent artist in this part of LA has a different perspective on it when you see celebrities around every corner.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Money Division – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
Money Division is a collective of four entrepreneurs aiming to provide a platform for independent artists to express themselves and give their music to the world. We are currently known for just that. With the continued success of Lano Bandz as an artist accompanied with production from Don and Astin, I feel we’re well on our way to getting their music to the next level. What sets us apart from others, in my opinion, is our prior connection to the military, It offers that autonomy that’s necessary when there are so many moving pieces that are vital to the overall success of the team.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Traffic of course kills me, but I love the diversity of the city. There’s never a shortage of things to do, ever.
