Today we’d like to introduce you to Alice Kim.
Hi Alice, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I am currently attending New York University studying Media, Culture, and Communications. I got the amazing opportunity to study abroad in Florence, Italy and got the chance to learn about cultures from all over Europe. In terms of career, I am still figuring out what I want to do because I find every industry to be interesting. Thus, my next step is to experiment with different industries so that I can figure out what I want to specialize in. As a hobby, I started a vlog and lifestyle channel on Youtube and I really enjoy editing and creating fun content!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My journey so far has been a smooth road because I haven’t hit any tough roadblocks yet, but I am sure once I graduate, things will get more challenging. I try to trust the process and live life in the present. What’s meant for us will always be meant for us (as long as we work hard each day)!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am currently doing freelance work for an entertainment company where I create content such as giving reviews for food and dessert all over Los Angeles. I get to taste test different restaurants while filming myself throughout the whole process. However, this is my side career because I am focusing majority of my time on finishing up my last semester of school.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Doing a side hobby makes me happy! I recently started to film entertaining vlogs and learn how to edit during my free time and it really increased my level of happiness. Recently, I decided to adopt a new hobby like boxing so that I can maintain strong and healthy, which makes me feel energized and happy. Overall, adopting new hobbies that you enjoy will definitely put you in a better mood.
