Hi Alexis, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am the owner of Just Peachy Soap Co. We are a proud Latina-owned company using the highest quality ingredients with your skin in mind. It was in late 2019 when my passion for bath bombs began. In the midst of the pandemic when the whole world was home on lockdown, I began researching and testing out my newfound love of bath bombs. My inspiration was my daughter. She has always loved bath bombs. That’s when I realized not all products are made with your skin’s health in mind. I was determined to make bath bombs with natural skin-loving ingredients that do not strip your natural oils off your skin. My interest in handmade soap soon after. The idea of being able to be creative and help my family is what really drew me to soap making as my son has sensitive skin. I love being able to combine creativity with self-care. Soap-making became very therapeutic for me. During the lockdown, I would spend late nights crafting after putting my kiddos to bed. I handmade every soap and bath/body product in small batches in my soap kitchen. When there was a supply shortage in stores, I started giving away my soaps to friends and family. After receiving such positive reviews, I knew I found a passion that would truly be rewarding. It brings me such joy to hear what a change my soap has made on their skin. I’m extremely grateful for those who have supported me in this endeavor!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The struggles I’ve encountered along the way were mostly during the pandemic when there was shortages on supplies and being able to get them. The business aspect of my endeavor has certainly presented itself with many challenges for me as being a first-time business owner. I have been learning the professional aspect of owning a small business and the behind-the-scenes that come with it. It’s definitely been an experience to say the least. I have learned to take them in stride. It is not my strongest suit I’m more a behind-the-scenes kind of gal. But I am proud of all I’ve accomplished thus far and all the help I’ve received. I love learning new things and this has been quite the experience.

Our soaps are made in small batches insuring the quality of your bath experience… We use a cold process method. This technique requires great preparation and some curing time, in order to ensure the highest quality and retain the therapeutic benefits of our plant-based ingredients. Here at JUST PEACHY SOAP CO, we create the most delightful, aromatic, relaxing and skin-soothing botanical bath that you will absolutely love. I want people to know that here at Just Peachy Soap Co we are here to serve our customers, to help them achieve the best possible skin health they deserve. We have received amazing feedback from our acne and eczema-prone clients. I love to hear the success of our products and how they have affected our clients’ daily lives. It brings me much joy that we had something to do with your skin health and appearance.
We are a cruelty-free company for all who are conscious about the treatment of our furry friends.
What are your plans for the future?
Our future goal is to make our products more accessible to people. To always come up with new and enticing creations for our customers. My goal is to one day own my own brick and mortar. To be able to interact and befriend my clients would just be amazing. Where they can come in and know I am available to see them. It may be a bit old-fashioned in the age of the internet, but it’s the best way to meet, build and create a welcoming space. It still important for me to provide convenience to consumers and an online option will always be available. It would be wonderful to have a pickup location.
Well, those are my long-term goals. For now, I truly enjoy coming up with seasonal items or whatever maybe trending at the time. We are expanding our line to include solid shampoo and conditioner bars so be on the lookout for these items in the near future. We are always looking for ways to serve our customers better with their bath product needs. Any ideas are always welcome. We also make custom orders for wedding, baby showers and so much more. I love making all our products and seeing your vision come to life and to have a small part in your family is so heartwarming.
