Meet Alexander Navarro Collins

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexander Navarro Collins.

Alexander Navarro Collins was born in Caracas, Venezuela, in 1991. He started dancing while in high school more than 12 years ago. At age 17, he started working with many of Venezuela’s top music artists and regularly appeared on the Latin Grammy Awards show. Upon turning 19, Alexander moved to Ireland to further his dance studies and was represented by the Jane Shortall Dance Agency. Using his newfound training, he then returned back to Venezuela to share his knowledge with many schools around the country.

Shortly after, he attended the FnF intensive in Poland. Alexander was then accepted into the Peridance Capezio Center training program in NYC, where he spent countless hours expanding his movement vocabulary in Hip Hop, Contemporary, Ballet, and many other genre’s of dance. In his downtime, he was a regular at Broadway Dance Center. Alex got the opportunity to participate in Rhapsody James’ program MOTIVATE EXCELLENCE (NYC). Alexander finally made the decision to move to L.A to further his career in dance while also training at Millenium Dance Complex, Movement Lifestyle, and Debbie Reynolds, where is he always in the pursuit of a deeper understanding of his craft. He is working every day to archive his goals.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The mainly struggles were money. Specially when I used to leave in New York and I had to deal with my school responsibilities but also my personal and adult life. There were moments that the only thing I was eating was bread with cream cheese for a dollar. I owned more than 20.000.000 dollars to my school and I was getting crazy, but finally, I could fix all those problems.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I am professional Dancer, Choreographer but I also do videography and production. Honestly, everybody knows me as dancers since I had been doing this for years. I am truly proud of the artist I become no only I am a dancer I also produce and work behind the camera.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Nothing. I like my pass and I feel because my pass I am where I am today, my career, my people and the love I feel for what I do.
