Meet Aleksandr Verholak of Freelance DI Colorist

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aleksandr Verholak.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
In 2010, I started my carrier as a Freelance Colorist in Moscow, Russia. Colorgrading it’s a part of the postproduction process in film industry.
I developed my skills while working on feature films, commercials, music videos, and TV shows every day.

In 2015, I got my first international project from my Facebook follower. Since then, I’ve got clients all over the world and have a privilege to work with many talented people. 95% of my clients coming from Instagram, Vimeo, and Facebook.

In May 2018, I came to the United States as a Green card holder with my beautiful family and proceed with my freelance career. I hade a pleasure to work for such clients as Netflix, Nestle, Heinz, Renault, Oriflame, and many others.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Postproduction world it’s all about hard work, constant self-education, overnight work under the stress, but for me, it’s a perfect world to live in.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Freelance DI Colorist – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Almost every video product nowadays goes through the process of color grading, where it gets balance and creative look. Every colorist is an Artist, a Creator. His vision and skills help develop a look for a commercial or feature film according to Director’s vision.

Such Teamwork as video production it’s all about connections and relationships. I believe that a good heart it’s a tool on a par with strong technical and artistic skills. Every Artist has his own style which attracts clients with a similar visual taste. Being unique, not “the best” this is the key to every success, in my opinion

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Pros:
Definitely the location (ocean, weather, the beauty of nature). A concentration of creative people in our city amazes me.
I feel freedom and love in the air.

Cons:
Maybe to much sugar everywhere. =)
