Today we’d like to introduce you to Albert Melera.
The idea of Kooshi was first conceived while Albert was employed as a personal chef for celebrities such as; Bill Gates, David Geffen, Salma Hayek, Drew Barrymore, Arianna Huffington, Jennifer Aniston, Michael Ovitz, Francois Pinault, Cassie Wasserman, Robert Downey Jr., Kevin James, Kobe Bryant and Adam Sandler.
While cooking and creating menu plans for these, at times, demanding clients, Albert learned to premeditate their needs quickly and effectively. Albert fortuitously knew there would be a market for a demographic of discerning clientele who would appreciate this same curated service. It was around this time that Albert met another chef, Amanda – who would eventually become his wife and the two of them together created the concept of Kooshi Gourmet. The corporate model, following the same standards of quality and customer service followed shortly after.
Has it been a smooth road?
Nothing worth doing comes easy, of course… we have hit many bumps and had many challenges along the way but our mission has always been clear and we are lucky to have a great team that believes in the same future for our company.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
We are currently in the works to begin delivery to San Francisco and the Bay area in late Spring. We will offer the same programs and customization models. For us, it was the next obvious city that is versed in great food and personal health.
