Today we’d like to introduce you to Adrian Johnson.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I first picked up a cornhole bag a little over six years ago. Didn’t know anything about it and definitely was NOT good at it. I just wanted to beat the man who showed me the game because he was the best in our area. While practicing to beat him, I fell in love with the grind and game. Cornhole became therapeutic to me and my safe place. I dedicated myself to the game and practiced every day alone for hours, and still do. now here I am just entering into my 4th year as a professional player and one of the top players in the country… the American cornhole league is the fastest-growing sport in the world and I will not stop until I’m the #1 player in the world. We travel the world competing on ESPN for our national tournaments and on CBS for our shootout series. Follow my journey
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Hardest obstacle I had to overcome was also the best one for me. I had to learn to get out of my own way.. coming from street life and a negative background, I wanted better for myself and had to change my way of thinking. My passion and love for the game mixed with the fear of failure and letting myself down give me my competitive edge over other players. YOU WILL NOT OUTWORK ME.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m known as Acl pro Adrian Johnson, I’m a professional cornhole player for the American cornhole league. One of the top players in the country with one of the largest social media followings in cornhole… I’m most proud of the positive influence I have on others and helping others be the best versions of themselves while taking their game to the next level. My desire to be great and work ethic set me apart from others.
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Live life, you don’t have a second chance. It’s now or never.
