Today we’d like to introduce you to Adelaida Ramirez.
Adelaida, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I begun my luxury fitness experience in 2008, but my official career in fitness in 2007. All my life, I’ve been active in martial arts, sports, obstacle course races and pretty much any type of physical activity. After having the luxury experience and having to sign no disclosures part of my luxury fitness career to an impressive client roster. I thought to myself why can’t I create my own fitness small business.
So a few years ago, I’ve gone ahead and created that. After working at a 5-star hotel in the city of Beverly Hills, I’ve learned that what retains the clientele are the people providing the service and creating the rapor. I wanted to create a type of fitness business that would allow me to make people feel they’re apart of something then just using them for status.
We are a very very small group of instructors, that has similar beliefs, in training and in life. I pride myself in having really good people to call a fellow colleague, as are all humble, full of gratitude and just overall want to be good people. We are so alike, but at the same time so different.
We all bring something different to the table that makes us unique and relatable. I’m not one to teach another instructor a ” my way” of training, because you can’t teach people to be a good person. We are all so good at providing each individual a very specific program, and don’t you ever think for a second we do cookie cutters for our client.
Our rapor, our listening ears, and body observation helps create the program. From stay at home mom to royal on the other side of the world. We provide the same quality of service. At the end of the day, we are all people and in our sessions/ interactions free of judgment
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road and still not one, but it doesn’t challenge us it doesn’t change us. The biggest challenge I say would be is being a small fish in a big pond.
So many large companies providing the same service with a lot of financial support, but it doesn’t stop us. I will tell you one thing that makes us different then most large companies is our payout.
Our instructors receive a percentage greater then most if not all companies pay out. They provide the service, build the rapor, and I just provide the lead and in trust quality instruction. This is why it’s only less than a handful of us that work together.
Please tell us about TWA FITNESS.
The biggest accomplishment yet is being able to offer services at The Peninsula hotel in Beverly Hills! I’m a huge avid believer of ongoing education.
I am currently an Onnit Academy Certified Kettlebell Specialist, USA level 1 Olympic weightlifting coach, former Montage Hotel Lead Wellness Instructor, TRX trainer, amateur Muay Thai competitor, RockTape Specialist, and the list goes on…
I continue to say and believe we are good people, knowledgeable with amazing intentions and passionate about what we do. We don’t strive for excellence, we strive to create better movers with intention mind and body.
I run a small business, train clients, create memorable moments, workout, battle anxiety, and I use that in my personal practice and with clients. Some of them suffer in silence, and I’ve been there, and I can feel it when someone else is too.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Going to work with my mom in the early 90s. Watching JLO’s maid in Manhattan reminds me of my childhood, except my mom didn’t meet Prince Charming ha or was he the governor in the movie.
