Meet Adam Fischer of computersWTF in Hollywood

L-R: Adam Fischer, Chris Livingston, Jonathan Edwards of computersWTF & Total Home WiFi

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adam Fischer.

Adam, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I got where I am today through a combination of support and encouragement from my family and a prior employer, Todd Warner of Tailwaggers, as well as being prepared for when that chance encounter struck so that a happy accident could occur. After all, as Robert Evans says, “Luck is when opportunity meets preparation.”

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
There have been many times over the past ten years, since my band Bonsai Boulevard ( http://BonsaiBlvd.com ) formed, that I thought I’d need to make a choice between being an artist and being a professional. I am humbled by the opportunity this business has given me in allowing me to do both – my band toured China for two weeks in April of 2016. That’s where I want to speak directly to other entrepreneurs and let them know you can have it both ways, where you have your business and your passion. But just like the project management triangle, there is an overlapping relationship between the amount of time you sacrifice for your business, the amount of capital you’ll need to invest (or, say, forego in salary), and the degree to which you empower your staff. Finding and attaining this balance has been an ongoing process of refinement and probably my biggest challenge as a business owner.

computersWTF – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
At computersWTF, we offer a range of I.T. solutions for residential and commercial clients. I’m proud of my company and employees and what we do together every day. I think it boils down to believing in people, empowering and teaching each other, as well the need for strong boundaries between work and life because after all, I want to make a life, not a living.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I’m 39 years old and each year I want display screens in my life less and less. I can’t tell if that has to do with my profession, or maybe because I’m from a generation that first grew up with mobile phones and the Internet – but my passions seem to be taking me more towards a disconnected offline life and I can’t help but wonder what that means for the future of technology. Regardless, the team at computersWTF & Total Home WiFi stand poised to meet the requests of our clients no matter the scope.
