Ada, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I am is one of the owners of KUR Mobile Massage & Spa. Through illness I discovered massage therapy as one of my treatments. I instantly fell in love with Massages and Spas, and decided to become a massage therapist. I am a Certified Massage therapist since 2006, when I graduated from Everest College. I started my career and immediately it grew in 2009 and I launched my new business KUR Mobile Massage & Spa. Based on personal experience, I tailor each massage session to the needs of every one of my clients.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, Downtown is an amazing place to start a business, however it is hard to find new clients especially without a marketing budget. We struggled for the first 2 years to bring in potential clients.

We are in the heart of Los Angeles, amazing location for a perfect get away from work or simply to relax. Our signature massages include: Hot Stones, warm towels, essential oils and head massage. We also offer mobile services, turning your house, office or hotel into a serene haven and it relaxes you with all the desired luxuries of a Day Spa at the convenience of your location. At KUR Mobile Massage and Spa, massages and spa treatments are affordable luxuries for any special occasion such as wellness spa parties, corporate event, bachelorette party, bridal party, employee appreciation and self-pampering.

My family has been a great support. My husband designed and remodeled the spa, my son help me with the technical aspects, and my daughter who is now a co-owner with me assists with all the administration. Also all our staff of great hardworking massage therapist and esthetician.
