Meet Ashley John

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley John.

So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started acting my junior year in high school. I have to give acting the credit of changing my life completely, for the better of course.

Has it been a smooth road?
The biggest struggle in this industry is remembering who you are and what you bring to the table day to day. You must practice that constantly.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I am a film actress. I’ve worked very closely with Bobby Huntley the last few years of my life. He’s a director in Atlanta that gave me a shot in Louisiana 1961 where I play a young woman who’s having a hard time letting her guard down with a young man she’s intrigued by. I was beyond excited to work on this project for the simple fact that it was a period piece and those kind of films have always had my heart. I was able to show the true power I possess as a storyteller. A lot of the television shows I’ve done have been one or two lines which don’t give me a lot to play with so I was super excited to come across this script.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I absolutely love the energy here. I love that there’s a creator on every corner. I’m strongly convinced that that’s the reason why the city possesses so much magic. How could it not with all the dreamers traveling far away from home to come here and evolve. My least favorite this is parking, I’m a Texan and we have parking.
