Hi ZIAH, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Originally from the East Coast, my journey creatively started very early on in theatre and musical theatre. I’ve always loved storytelling in its many forms. I fell in love with making music around the time I got my first guitar and started writing. One of the beautiful qualities about music is that you can tell a story in just a few minutes. Once it’s recorded and produced, it’s almost like having a mini movie. I moved to LA early on and continued to find my sound. When I moved out here, I didn’t know anyone but since I was ten, I told my mother I would like to move here. LA was always calling my name. Through the lessons learned and the success gained it has only propelled my sound further. The beauty of music is the power to use your voice…Now. You don’t have to wait on anyone to make a song. The power is in your hands to tell the story you would like to share with the world.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Anyone jumping into the career they love may experience obstacles as well as gains. I would say for myself I learned a lot along the way. All of the obstacles have eventually turned into gems. These are the kind of gems you take with you as you continue to grow and rise on your path. When the gains come along, you are that much more grateful. Those gems have turned into knowledge. “Grow through what you go through.”
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m an artist and I make pop music with subgenres such as soul and alternative. My newest release, “Drive With You.” is about falling in love and keeping the spark in the relationship ignited. It stands for the journey in the relationship. Sometimes it’s green and moving, sometimes it’s red and there’s learning, “the stop and go.” I’m very excited to have this song out to share with the world. I am currently working on my debut project.
