Today we’d like to introduce you to Yung Rick Foxxx
Hi Yung Rick , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Man, where do I even start? My journey has been a mix of hustle, heart, and a little bit of destiny. I started out as just a kid playing the piano and that evolved into banging out beats on a laptop and writing lyrics in notebooks until the pages were falling apart. I always had this vision of blending sound, visuals, and storytelling into something bigger than myself.
I founded 11:11 Studios because I wanted a home for that vision, a place where creativity could thrive without limits. Along the way, I’ve dropped over 200 self-produced songs. Right now I have released 2 albums, 2 compilation projects and 1 EP, but I’m about to turn it all the way up. I’ve also been curating content houses in Bel-Air and Hollywood Hills, building creative spaces where art and culture collide.
But it’s been such a grind just getting to this point. There were late nights, self-doubt, and moments where I had to bet on myself when no one else would. I think that’s what makes my story interesting, I didn’t just find success; I built it, brick by brick. Now, I’m not just an artist or a producer. I’m a brand builder, a creative director, and the driving force behind a movement.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Smooth road? Nah, not even close. The road been full of potholes, detours, and some straight-up roadblocks, but that’s what makes the journey worth it, right? When you’re building something from the ground up, especially in this industry, you’re gonna face challenges.
Early on, it was all about proving myself. People didn’t take me seriously at first—either I was too ahead of my time, too ambitious, or just too different for them to see the vision. There were times I was making beats on a broken laptop, juggling side hustles to fund my projects, and still trying to keep the lights on.
Then there’s the mental game of staying motivated when the doors aren’t opening, or worse, when they slam shut in your face. I’ve had deals fall through, collaborations go sideways, and moments where I questioned if I was doing the right thing. But every time I got knocked down, I came back stronger.
I learned how to pivot, how to adapt. I realized that if the road’s not smooth, you don’t stop, you build your own lane. And now, looking back, I wouldn’t trade the struggle for anything. It gave me the grit, the hunger, and the perspective to appreciate where I am today and to keep pushing for what’s next.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Where do I even start? I’m a creator to my core. An artist, a producer, and a visionary. My work is all about taking music, art, and storytelling to another level. I’ve already got a catalog of nearly 500 tracks out in the world, as an artist and producer but here’s the wild part: I’m just getting warmed up. I’m about to drop hundreds of songs and dozens of albums over the next couple of years. I’m about to start a new wave and shift the culture.
With 11:11 Studios, I’ve created a hub where creativity has no limits. I’m a true interdisciplinary artist and I have attracted a tribe of artists on the same path. I’m known for doing it all from crafting beats, writing songs, designing visuals, to directing the entire vibe.
I’m most proud of the fact that I’ve stayed true to myself through it all. Every track, every project is a reflection of my journey and the vision I’ve been grinding to bring to life. I’m not chasing trends, I’m creating timeless art.
What really sets me apart, though, is the scale at which I’m doing all of this. Dropping hundreds of songs isn’t just about numbers, it’s about showing people what’s possible when you go all in. My music isn’t just heard; it’s felt. And when you step into my world, you know you’re witnessing something bigger than music, it’s a movement.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up I was a wild card. I was that kid who was always pushing limits and doing the most. Personality-wise, I had this natural charisma and people gravitated towards me. I could talk my way into or out of just about anything. I was curious about everything and fearless to a fault. If I wasn’t climbing something I wasn’t supposed to or taking something apart to see how it worked, I was hooping or running the streets on some kind of adventure.
I was obsessed with music from early on, but it wasn’t just about the sound. I wanted to understand how to create a whole world with it and how to make people feel something. I was also into art, design, sports and movies.
Looking back, all that energy and curiosity shaped who I am today. I’ve always been about going to the next level and doing things my way, and honestly, that little kid version of me would look at what I’m doing now and be in amazement.
