Hi Xye, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been deeply moved by love, grief, and war within my life; and always wanted to push the boundaries of songwriting, immersing my listeners into an experience.
To me, making a record means remembering what it’s like to be a child.
To feel deeply and genuinely.
To imagine, to play.
To create a world, all of your own.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I think most great artists suffer. It gives perspective and courage.
Our job is to connect.
To awaken.

I imagine my career as “what is possible within my lifetime, not just this decade”. I want to provoke young girls to be confident and have an imagination, to think bigger.
