Today we’d like to introduce you to Triune.
Hi Triune, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m an artist, entrepreneur, and creator. Recently I released an album called The Green Tape. This album marks 23 years in the music business, so this body of work was special to me. It gave me a canvas to explore a lot of different aspects of my creativity. Creating the music was one aspect of course, but also it also allowed me to spread my wings with graphic design, audio engineering, and the overall marketing strategy behind the launch. It was a ton of work but a labor of love.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Making an album for me is always a rough road because creatively, I can be indecisive. Typically every album I release has 3-4 different iterations because I change directions often. The reasons vary. Sometimes you can’t find any more complimentary music to what you’ve already made. Sometimes you outgrow the concept or mood of what you were creating. Sometimes life happens, you take a break, and when you get back to it, you can’t re-create the vibe. It can be frustrating, however when you do reach a conclusion and you’re good with the finished product, that feeling is surreal.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m an artist from Southern California, that makes music that documents experiences I’ve either had or witnessed during my life. I’m known for a lot of things……music, business, marketing, investing, etc….. At this moment, I’m most proud of The Green Tape. For me, it’s rare that a piece of art you make comes out exactly as you envisioned it in your head. This album, I’m proud of that accomplishment, and I think the feedback thus far reflects that. The honesty in the music I create sets me apart. Nobody can tell my truth better than me.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I don’t believe in luck. I believe in the laws of attraction. When you’re focused on something, and preparing yourself for what you’re focused on, it’ll come towards you. If you call that luck, then I guess it’s played a role in my life. I tend to fixate on things and prepare for whatever expectation I have of that focus. So when that thing comes to me, I don’t call it luck, because I put in the work to be able to take advantage when the opportunity presents itself.
