Today we’d like to introduce you to Talia Perez
Hi Talia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in Los Angeles in a family that was in the film industry, so I was always surrounded by a creative and inspiring environment. My parents always encouraged me to go after my dreams, and ever since I was a little kid, I loved writing songs, singing, making funny YouTube videos and skits with friends. Being creative was just something that came naturally to me—it was fun and I always knew I wanted to do something in that space.
A few years ago, I started creating content on Instagram and TikTok, just sharing funny videos, real-life stories, and my worship music. I wasn’t necessarily trying to grow an audience at first—I was just posting what I loved—but over time, a community started to form. Fast forward two years, and now I have over 800,000 followers across all platforms. It’s honestly such a blessing to see what God has been doing in my life and to be able to connect with people from all over the world through my content.
A lot of what I post is faith-based—talking about my relationship with God, sharing about Jesus, worship music, and funny, relatable moments. And it’s so cool to see so many people globally who relate and connect with what I share. One of the things I love most about this journey is that my faith is at the center of everything I do. It’s refreshing and authentic, especially in a world that often glamorizes negativity or content that lacks class. The fact that my platform has grown so dramatically while standing on morals, principles, and faith just proves that there’s an audience out there looking for wholesome, family-friendly content with God at the center. That’s been one of the most rewarding parts—knowing that what I create resonates with people who want positivity and truth in their lives.
Everything has happened so fast with my social media growth and platform, yet as I reflect, I see how God was preparing me for this journey all along. And honestly, this is just the beginning—I’m only 27, and I feel like I’m just getting started.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I would say I’ve always had this stong faith in trusting God’s directing my footsteps—guiding me, leading me, and putting the right opportunities in my path. Even in moments when I wondered, these dreams I have are huge…how is this going to happen?—there was always this knowing that God has my back. That I’m on this earth for a purpose and a reason.
I truly believe that when you put God first in everything you do, you can’t fail. That’s the foundation I stand on. I have this deep confidence that I won’t fail because God is with me, and that mindset has given me the boldness to dream big, set huge goals, and go after things that might seem impossible—because I know that with God, nothing is impossible. My faith has been a huge part of my success and the growth I’ve experienced.
For example, when I was younger, I had this dream of working in the music and film entertainment industry—but I had no idea how it was going to happen. That’s an industry where so much of it is about connections, networking, being in the right place at the right time. But I knew that if I just focused on perfecting my skills—becoming the best songwriter, the best singer I could be—then opportunity plus preparation would lead to blessings.
And then, social media took off. That was something I wasn’t even intentionally chasing—God just opened that door. And now, that platform has become the outlet for my music to reach millions of people across the world. As I reflect, I can see so clearly how God has orchestrated every step of my journey. Walking by faith, not by sight, is what has always kept me going.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m an influencer & recording artist who creates faith-based lifestyle content and worship music. On social media, I share funny, relatable stories about my day, talk about my faith in God, and share my worship songs—but at the end of the day, I’m really being myself.
What sets me apart is that I’m a lifestyle creator who fully intertwines my faith into my everyday life. A lot of creators focus solely on one thing—whether it’s Bible verses, worship music, or sermons—but I like to show what a lifestyle with God at the center truly looks like. Whether I’m sharing my workouts, what I ate that day, or my daily vlogs, everything in my life always revolves around the foundation of Christ. My content reflects that naturally, and I think that’s what makes it unique.
People don’t just follow me for faith-based content; they follow because they genuinely connect with who I am as a person. I like to think of my niche as lifestyle Christianity—showing what it means to live a full, joyful, and purpose-driven life with Jesus at the center.
One of the rewarding aspects of having this platform is being able to use my influence for a greater cause. My sister and I launched a clothing line called Shalom Co., where we give a percentage of our profits to charities that help rescue kids from human trafficking.
We realized what an incredible gift it is to have a platform that can create real change—not just by providing something of value but by using it as a way to make a difference in the world. It’s not just about growing my platform, but using it for something bigger than myself.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I think the influencer industry is only going to keep skyrocketing and growing over the next 5–10 years. We’re just now seeing the full potential of what creators can do—not only in making a positive impact in the world but also connecting brands and their audiences in a way that traditional marketing simply can’t.
One of the most powerful aspects of influencer marketing is its authenticity. When we promote a brand or product, it’s usually something we genuinely love and use ourselves. It’s similar to how you trust a friend’s advice on cosmetics, food, or fitness because you know they actually use that product and believe in it.
Brands are recognizing that people connect more with real, relatable individuals than with scripted commercials. And as influencers continue to bring value to their communities in unique and authentic ways, this space will only grow. I see this as just the beginning of something truly unique—an industry that didn’t even exist in this form over a decade ago and is now reshaping the way we connect & influence in a completely new way.
