Life & Work with Sharon Sharma of Orange County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sharon Sharma

Hi Sharon, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My love for music started early—at 10, I was singing in a band with my dad. That experience laid the foundation for everything that followed. After that, I taught myself piano and percussion because I was always drawn to the idea of creating music, not just listening to it.

The transition into DJing came by chance. A family member asked me to DJ their wedding, and even though I had no idea where to start, I couldn’t turn it down. I dove into tutorials, figured out the gear, and made it happen. It was a crash course, but the event was a success. Afterward, the venue owner approached me to do more events, and that’s how I found myself regularly booked, week after week, at various venues, by word of mouth—since 2017. It’s been a wild ride, but one I’m grateful for every day.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Struggles were learning the craft without guidance

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My full-time job is as a real estate broker for my own company (Legacy Estates & Investments), where I specialize in multi-family homes and businesses. It’s a different kind of hustle, but both worlds feed my passion for connecting with people and making their visions come to life.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
The most important quality in my success has been adaptability. In both DJing and real estate, every event or transaction is different, and you have to be able to read the room, adjust to the vibe, and respond to what people need in the moment. Whether it’s switching up a playlist on the fly to keep the energy going at an event or pivoting strategies in a real estate deal, being flexible and quick on my feet has been key. It’s about understanding people and delivering an experience that feels right for them
