Life & Work with Rising Elijah

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rising Elijah. They and their team shared their story with us below:

Rising Elijah is a high-energy Modern Hard Rock band from Los Angeles, CA. They’re riffy, fun, heavy and have a vintage attack with a contemporary feel.

While their stage lineup has ebbed and flowed, the core; Pete “Raz” Razo, Chris Blackavar & Chase Enriquez, formed in 2019. Tony Guzman currently rounds out the lineup.

Shortly after they released their first couple of singles, they were featured on Heidi and Franks morning show on KLOS, Stay or Go, and won. Their Self Titled album was released on Rock Solid Talent Entertainment on 8/26/22.

Rising Elijah plays all around Los Angeles and surrounding areas. Some recent notable gigs include; the Sand Dollar, LV, NV; the Viper Room, LA, CA & the Camarillo heritage fest, Camarillo, CA.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s never a smooth road. Ya know we put out our first single in Jan of 2020, and uh, little did we all know what a year+ we were all in for! Hell, still dealing with in a lot of cases. But yeah, ya know, we just keep pluggin’ away, writing, gig’n, keeping our projects in line helps focus it all.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Well, we’re a hard rockin band in the holiest of rock n roll lands, haha, so it’s cool I guess, in some way being a part of that, even if at this point it’s a blip. As a team, we’re proud of the album we recently put out, and most recently, we played a 3-hour set in Las Vegas, which was huge for us, both in terms of venue & location; but also the time we had to fill and just overall show. We did some long marathon rehearsals to lock it all in. So that one felt good afterward.

What were you like growing up?
Well, we were all a bit different and grew up with different backgrounds and values, but we were all always into music and the arts of all sorts. We didn’t all grow up together, we met later in life out here in LA workin & gig’n.
