Today we’d like to introduce you to RiChana Cleary.
Hi RiChana , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I didn’t start out knowing exactly where I was headed. I just knew I wanted more than a nine-to-five that drained me. My degree in business management gave me structure, but it was my time working in customer service and social services that gave me purpose. I spent years helping people find resources and rebuild stability in their lives. Somewhere along the way, I realized I was doing more than just my job. I was learning how people work, how they feel, and what they need to truly thrive.
That curiosity led me to study psychology and, in many ways, back to myself. I started peeling back my own layers, figuring out who I was outside of what I did for others. From that journey came The Fine Print, an up-and-coming Pilates studio in the Crenshaw District designed for women of all colors who deserve spaces that pour back into them. It’s wellness with intention: movement, healing, and community all in one place.
And because I’ve always had something to say, The Fine Print Podcast was born. It’s another up-and-coming project where I get to talk about relationships, culture, motherhood, and life from an honest, unfiltered place. It’s my way of blending everything I’ve learned, including my business mindset, creativity, and real-life experiences, into something that connects with people on a deeper level.
My story is still being written, but I’ve learned that every twist, every challenge, and every new chapter has been preparing me to build something that reflects who I truly am.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I’ve never been the type to let that stop me. Life has thrown its share of challenges my way, from personal setbacks to moments where I had to completely start over. There were times I felt drained and unsure of what was next, but giving up was never an option.
I’ve always been known for pulling through and coming out on top. Every obstacle I’ve faced has only pushed me to level up and prove to myself that I can rise above anything. Those hard moments built my character, sharpened my focus, and reminded me that pressure creates diamonds. So even when things got tough, I kept showing up and that’s what got me here.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m currently focused on building The Fine Print, which includes my up-and-coming Pilates studio and podcast. The studio creates a safe, uplifting space for women to focus on wellness, movement, and healing, while the podcast tackles relationships, culture, and everyday life in an honest, relatable way. I bring intention and authenticity to everything I do, mixing my business mindset with creativity and insight.
At the same time, I’m pursuing my master’s in psychology and raising two amazing kids. Balancing school, motherhood, and bringing both the studio and podcast to life hasn’t been easy, but I’m known for pulling through and coming out on top. Each challenge has strengthened my resilience, focus, and determination.
What I’m most proud of is turning my vision into something tangible that not only represents who I am, but also gives back to my community. That authenticity, purpose, and dedication are what truly set The Fine Print apart.
What’s next?
Looking ahead, I’m focused on growing The Fine Print into a brand that empowers women through wellness and honest conversations on my podcast. I’m continuing my master’s in psychology, which will deepen the impact of my work, and I want to show my kids the value of resilience and following your dreams. I’m excited to turn challenges into opportunities while staying true to who I am.
