Life & Work with Raye Hollitt of South Lake Tahoe

Today we’d like to introduce you to Raye Hollitt

Raye, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I became a competitive bodybuilder back in my home town of Wilkes Barre, PA in 82. I did well and decided to move to the Mecca of bodybuilding and trained in Venice, CA. I won several titles and some roles in movies which led me to being one of the first on the TV series American Gladiators.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There is nothing smooth about bodybuilding. It is complete dedication and discipline. It finally paid off when I got the role of Zap on the American Gladiators for seven years.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am highly esteemed in the bodybuilding arena. I paved the way for the innovative athletic reality show AG. I also have an extended resume doing tv shows and movies (google my resume). I’m still a personal trainer, massage therapist and also teach snowboarding in Tahoe, which is where I reside.

How do you think about happiness?
People who let me know that what I did for decades did not go in vein.
