Today we’d like to introduce you to R-LEN.
Hi R-LEN, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I didn’t come up like most people, I wasn’t born into this, had to figure it out as I went. Grew up overseas, came to the U.S. not speaking English, made a lot of mistakes, and turned pain into fuel. I lost people close to me, been through the kind of things that either break you or build you, and I chose to build.
Today I fly private jets by day, and by night I make music that reflects both sides of that journey, luxury and loss, turbulence and control. Everything I do is self-funded, self-driven, and 100% independent. R-LEN is more than music, it’s movement, mindset, and legacy.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I moved to the U.S. without speaking English, no real direction, and had to learn everything the hard way. I got caught up in the wrong situations, and made mistakes. Losing my best friend Saren on my birthday shifted everything. That moment made me realize how short life really is.
Becoming a G5 pilot while building my music career from the ground up independently isn’t easy, but I made it happen. Every setback just added fuel to the story I’m telling now.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I do a little bit of everything, but at the core, I’m a jet pilot and an independent artist. I specialize in making music that captures both the hustle and the high life, the struggle and the success. My sound is cinematic, emotional, and unapologetically real. I’m known for being versatile, flying Gulfstreams by day, then locking in and recording in my closet studio at night.
What I’m most proud of is staying independent while leveling up on both sides. I’ve never needed a label or a handout. I fund everything myself, from production to promo, and I’ve built something that’s 100 percent me, no compromises.
What sets me apart is that I’m really living what I rap. I’ve seen both the runway and the gutter, and my music bridges those worlds. I’m not trying to be like anyone else, I’m just telling my story, and the people who get it, get it.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happy is my family. They’re my foundation, my reason for everything. No matter how far I fly or how loud the music gets, knowing they’re proud of me and taken care of keeps me grounded. That’s what really matters at the end of the day.
