Today we’d like to introduce you to Presley Aronson.
Hi Presley, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
When I was younger, I was bullied physically, mentally, and emotionally. It not only affected my academics but my childhood as well. I am blessed to say I was able to overcome it, but so many others aren’t able to. I knew I wanted to do something to help, so I wrote my song “Background” about my life, my struggles, and how to focus on the positives in life. We created a short film, PSA, music video based on my life to help others. It is so humbling to see this video play at schools across the country, viewed around the world, and changing & saving one life at a time. I’m working with the Boy’s & Girl’s Clubs along with other foundations such as my foundation The Background Foundation, Kollab Youth, and more. I have gone to schools across the country to share my story, perform, and help make a difference. ABC 7 News asked me to be the spokesperson for Los Angeles against Anti-bullying and Anti-suicide and produce PSA’s to help the cause. I’ve called upon some friends with powerful voices to help with the PSA’s with some including: Cedric The Entertainer, Russell Hitchcock of Air Supply, Jake Miller, and Steve Blum.
Being on set as a child actor, I had the up-close look behind the scenes of whatever movie or show I was able to work on at the time, and that’s where I fell in love. I then started making short films with friends and learning the ropes through trial and error, YouTube, and a lot of phone calls to new friends at a few camera stores. I knew I wanted to pursue a career in storytelling. Having the ability to create with no limitations is a great feeling! I’m blessed to have my careers both in film and music to have that storytelling aspect.
It’s been an incredible year, and I’m so blessed. I played a bunch of shows, including The Catalina Wine Mixer, which I’m glad to be invited back for 2024! I played at the Toyota Arena in Ontario and had Stater Bros. sponsor a bunch of tickets to give to kids to come to the show! I won and was nominated for multiple awards: The HMMA’s, The HIMA’s, The Telly Awards, and the Catalina Film Festival. We shot multiple music videos and released the single off of my debut album. I have so much planned for 2024. I’m excited to announce the release of my debut album, music videos, many shows, and so much more. 2024 is going to be a year to remember!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Working in this industry, there is a lot of risk taking, as they say, high risk, high reward. There are always going to be obstacles that you’re faced with, but once you’ve overcome them and accomplished your goal, that’s what makes it so rewarding. You have to love the journey, not just the destination.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am what I like to call a Cali Country Music Artist, creating my version of pop/modern country. Taking the songwriting roots and storytelling aspect of country music with more of a current modern California flare. I love to take stories from my life and write songs from it. I’ve always wanted to write with a message whether it was about something serious like bullying, suicide, positivity, or other topics like love, heartbreak, family, and life.
My life motto is to live every single day like I’m in paradise, whether it’s the best or worst day of my life because the worst day in paradise is better than the best day anywhere else. So, I wrote a song called “Live Like Paradise” to help spread my positive message to so many who need it. The song just recently won Best Country Crossover at the Hollywood Independent Music Awards following my performance of the song at the awards.
My new single “Isabella” off my debut album was recently released followed by the also recent release of the music video. I’ve been working on my debut album for some time now, and I’m so excited to finally be sharing it all. There are so many new songs based on stories from my life. These new songs are going to introduce you to the new Presley Aronson, and I can’t wait to share! We are working on music videos for most of the songs, and we all know I love to create music videos with stories bringing the song to life. I urge everyone to come to a show to hear the new music live before it’s released!
I’m also a Director and Producer at my production company PAE Studios, which I started in 2014, making 2024 our Decade Anniversary. We are a full-service production company that handles everything from development through post-production. We do projects like Commercials, Music Videos, Films, Documentaries, Series, and Concerts. What was your favorite childhood memory?
Growing up in California, the beach, lake, and the ocean have always been on the agenda! Spending the summer with family and friends on the lake, wakeboarding, and hanging out has always been the best!
