Today we’d like to introduce you to Paige Cano.
Hi Paige, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Sacred Skin Alchemy began as a vision to merge holistic skincare with energetic healing. My background as a licensed esthetician, combined with ongoing training in energy work, somatic healing, and advanced facial massage techniques, allowed me to create a space where clients feel seen, supported, and nurtured on a cellular level.
Over the years, I’ve worked in a variety of wellness spaces, but I always felt called to build something more intentional, something that honored the skin as a mirror of the nervous system and stored emotions. Opening my own studio in Long Beach was a natural next step, and it’s become a sanctuary where beauty, ritual, and healing come together.
My approach continues to evolve, but the core of my work remains the same: to offer restorative care that goes beyond the surface and helps people reconnect to themselves.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road definitely hasn’t been linear or smooth, but each challenge has shaped the way I show up in my work. Like many small business owners, I’ve navigated financial uncertainty, burnout, and the constant learning curve that comes with wearing many hats. Balancing motherhood with entrepreneurship has also required a lot of creativity and trust in timing.
There have been seasons where I questioned everything: if the right clients would find me, if I could sustain my vision, if I was doing enough. But through it all, I’ve stayed committed to the deeper “why” behind my work. The moments of doubt taught me how to root more deeply in purpose, and to build a business that’s aligned with my values, not just productivity.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
At Sacred Skin Alchemy, I offer holistic facials that go a lot deeper than just skin. I really see the skin as a reflection of what’s happening inside-physically, emotionally, energetically. My sessions begin with tea and a chat, sometime we’ll pull a card before the session. I combine advanced facial massage, fascia release, and energy work to support the nervous system and help people feel more connected to themselves.
Everything I do is really intentional. It’s important to me to connect the client back with nature, which is why all products used are non-toxic, consciously curated, and sourced for true efficacy – no fillers, no greenwashing, just whole plant actives and high-performing ingredients that work in harmony with the body. Tap water is never used. It matters to me that what I use on someone’s skin is just as safe and nourishing as the space I create for them to rest in.
The people who find me are usually looking for something deeper. They’ve tried traditional facials or skincare approaches but felt like something was missing. My space is soft, quiet, and calming—it’s meant to feel like an exhale. A place to be held, to rest, and to remember who you are beneath all the noise.
When someone tells me they feel lighter, more present, or like they just let go of something they’ve been holding for a long time-that means everything to me. As their mindsets shift, you watch their inner glow appear. It’s really magical what inner harmony can do for outer radiance. That’s what this work is about.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I don’t know if I’ve always seen myself as a risk-taker, but looking back, so much of what I’ve done has involved risk-just not always in the traditional sense. For me, choosing to trust my intuition, walk away from situations that weren’t aligned, or start over when things felt uncertain… those have all been quiet but powerful risks.
Opening my own studio was a big one. I had no guarantee it would “work,” and there was a lot of fear around financial security, timing, and whether the right people would find me. But I kept feeling the nudge-and I’ve learned that when something keeps calling you, even when it doesn’t make logical sense, that’s often where the magic lives.
To me, risk isn’t about being reckless-it’s about being brave enough to honor what feels true, even when it’s uncomfortable or unclear. Sometimes the biggest risk is staying small, quiet, or hidden out of fear. I’d rather follow the unknown and see where it leads than live with the weight of what-ifs.
