Today we’d like to introduce you to Obed Padilla.
Hi Obed, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Obed Padilla. I’m an artist and producer. I’ve been working in the music industry for the last 6 years.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I think the hardest part about working in music has been being self-employed and having to be your own boss. You really have to be on top of your game and making sure you’re working every day.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a songwriter, producer, engineer, and musician. I do a little bit of everything because starting out I didn’t have the money to pay someone to play a part on a record or mix. It was out of necessity and then I just ran with it.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up I was pretty outgoing. My dad is a pastor, so I grew up in church my whole life. That’s actually where I started playing guitar and singing.
