Today we’d like to introduce you to Nemanja Zdravkovic
Hi Nemanja, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My journey into photography has been a long and evolving path. As a visual person, photography started as a way for me to express myself creatively and explore the world through my lens. In the beginning, it was all about experimenting and discovering my voice as an artist.
I’ve been immersed in photography since 2007, and by 2011, I began pursuing it professionally. Over the years, I navigated through a variety of photography fields, both commercial and non-commercial, gaining a wide range of experience and refining my craft.
Eventually, I realized that with the skills I had developed and the experiences I had gathered, I was ready to take the next step. Starting my own business felt like the natural progression—a chance to take risks, embrace responsibilities, and shape my vision into something uniquely mine. It’s been a journey of growth, challenges, and fulfillment, and I’m grateful for every step that brought me to where I am today running Los Angeles wedding photography studio ” NZ WEDDING STUDIO”.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road at all. There were many struggles, doubts, and moments when I felt like I was lost in a maze. But to succeed, you have to believe in yourself and trust the process, even when the path isn’t clear.
One of the biggest challenges was the lack of immediate feedback during the journey. It required a lot of patience and persistence, as progress often felt slow and uncertain. In many ways, the entire process has been about solving problems—constantly facing obstacles, finding solutions, and learning from every experience. That’s how I would describe this journey: a continuous cycle of challenges, growth, and determination.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
specialize in commercial photography and have been in the industry for over 17 years. Throughout this time, I’ve explored various fields of photography, and these experiences have been instrumental in shaping my work, particularly in wedding photography. For instance, my background as a photojournalist for local newspapers has influenced my approach to weddings, allowing me to capture candid, storytelling moments that truly reflect the essence of the day.
Currently, I run my own wedding photography studio, NZ WEDDING STUDIO, based in Los Angeles, California. I take pride in developing my unique style and using my extensive experience to make every couple’s special day unforgettable. My goal is to deliver not just photos, but memories that last forever, and I genuinely enjoy working with people to create something meaningful.
What sets me apart is my depth of experience and my commitment to continuous improvement. I’m always looking for ways to refine my craft and bring something fresh to the industry, ensuring that each client receives the best I have to offer.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
The future of the photography industry over the next 5-10 years is quite uncertain, especially with the rapid advancements in AI technology. On one hand, AI has already brought significant improvements, such as smarter cameras, faster and more efficient editing tools, and software that can handle tasks previously done manually. These innovations make the entire process quicker and more accessible.
However, on the other hand, there’s concern about how far AI could go in potentially replacing human roles, even in a personal and emotional industry like wedding photography. Right now, I believe it’s unlikely AI could fully replace the human touch that’s so essential to capturing the emotions and storytelling of a wedding day. But with technology evolving so quickly, it’s hard to predict how things might shift.
While I remain optimistic, the key will be for photographers to adapt, staying ahead by embracing new tools and continuing to focus on what makes human creativity and connection irreplaceable in this field.
