“We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.” Philippians 4:13

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has not been smooth. Back in 2007, I lost my grandmother due to her body shutting down, and in 2008, I lost my mother to breast cancer. Then some years after that I lost my older brother to a heart attack. These were very hard times for me and I would not have gotten through them without God sharing with me and my family His peace that surpasses all understanding and giving me patience (the ability to endure hard times without it leading you to anger).

In addition to this, I have had my own personal struggles that have been hard for me to get through. I have had struggles with school and navigating the entertainment industry, which has been filled with many “Nos,” Despite these struggles, I have always and will continue to stand with God. He is the reason why I have been able to get through these struggles and why I am still standing.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an actor, dancer, director, writer, a producer, a poet, and a Christian rapper. I mainly work as an actor with over 20 years of experience. As an actor, I specialize in drama and am currently working on my comedy performances. I have also been cast as a sketch comedy and improv performer on the Soul Sista Comedy sketch comedy performance team. I have been an active team member on this team for about 2 1/2 years.

Along with this, I have also begun my training as a dancer and as a stunt action film fighter.

I am known for my impactful performances in films like, “The Battle of Island Mound,” “The Troll,” Three Card Monte,” and “Grace for a Gangsta.”

I am most proud of how very strong, believable performances in film, TV, and stage that leave audiences in awe at the depth of my storytelling. I thank God for providing me with an amazing gift that I can use to glorify His Name in Heaven. Amen.

I am also an award-winning actor, director, and producer as well. I won best supporting actor for my performance as Joseph Asagi in, “:A Raisin in the Sun,” and my film, “Love in all the Wrong Places,” won an honorable mention award at the Peach Theatre and Film International Festival. This film festival is executive produced by Peachanda DuBose.

What sets me apart from others is my creativity, my drive, work ethic and my devotion and strong love for Jesus Christ.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters to me is God and how He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the Cross for all of our sins. Through Jesus’ stripes, I am freed and healed from all of my sins. Without God I would not have accomplished anything in my life, so I thank God for blessing me unconditionally, for protecting my from dangers seen and unseen dangers and for loving me. Throughout this journey called life, I have been able to learn way more about God and to focus on His Will and the plan that He has in store for my life. Also without God, I would be dead and gone. He has kept me even through my many mistakes. So God is what matters most to me in life, for these reasons and many more. I love the Lord with all of my heart!!!!
