Today we’d like to introduce you to Megan Sloane.
Hi Megan, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
In 2016, I became serious about doing hair and enrolled in Bellflower Beauty College. I went on to graduate and became a licensed stylist in 2017. It has been an honor and privilege to be where I am in the industry. I take so much pride in my work, and I love all the people I have met along the way.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has definitely not been a smooth ride. From working multiple jobs all while trying to build a strong clientele, COVID, mastering your craft, continuous education and training, and learning the ins and outs of how to run a business… This career is not for the weak.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a hairstylist. I specialize in golden blonde/ warm shades, long layered haircuts, teasy lights, and dimensional, lived-in blondes.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Maintaining the health and integrity of my client’s hair is what I prioritize most. I give honest feedback on achieving realistic expectations, and I like to keep a healthy, happy, and positive environment for my guests.
