Life & Work with Mark Williams

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mark Williams.

Mark Williams

Hi Mark, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I moved to Los Angeles with Babz and another roommate, Sachin. It was difficult for us to find our footing after moving here, but I found it inspiring that both of my roommates were able to navigate this city efficiently, create their own communities, and work towards their own respective goals. Now, I’ve grown within my career, shifted my goals, and am excited to move toward them.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No not really, a lot of trial and error within different communities. Networking with different people. A lot was done to get to where we are today and into the circles we’ve found ourselves in.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a UX Designer in Tech. I work on products, websites, and make videos talking about self-growth and UX. I’m proud of all my creations so far when it comes to video quality and UX/Product Design.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out.
Network as much as possible and be strategic about your connections. It’s important to form genuine connections with people; that’s the only way people are willing to help. They can sniff out a fraud easily. If you’re starting off, offer free work to grow your skills and confidence and make friends of friends. The world is smaller than you think.
