Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I took an acting class at The Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia and was hooked after my first showcase! Since then I’ve worked on over 70 sets and have had the fortune to win 6 best actor awards from various festivals across the country. I have ten years of experience in the industry with over 40 leading and supporting roles, I moved to Los Angeles in 2023 and never looked back, In the last two months I’ve filmed a commercial for a TMobile campaign, a skincare commercial for Mintree Melt that garnered over 34000 views, and I just wrapped filming on a new vertical series, a 9 day shoot where I met the most kind and talented people!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Anything but smooth, I’ve given up relationships, management positions, comfort, that “safety net” for the sake of my passion, everything I do everyday is with acting in mind and how I can further pursue my dream. In this industry you need thick skin and have to be your own biggest fan, you will hear no or nothing at all a lot and have to be persistent more than anything else. I’ve been booked for jobs that ended up getting canceled, or cast in projects only to later be told they are going with someone else, but it’s apart of the industry and I don’t regret anything, every rejection, every no, has made me the man I am today and I’m all the better for it!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I do everything from Music Videos, commercials, series, verticals, features, shorts, I just love acting and the industry in every facet! I’m known for my big smile and strong screen presence. I’m most proud of my 6 best actor award wins! To receive that validation from various festivals and critics is a humbling and thankful feeling. What sets me apart is my tenacity and my dependability, I pride myself on being the hardest worker in the room and the most reliable, with me you always know that you will be getting someone who is 30 minutes early if not more, who will know their lines front to back, hit their marks and always be on standby, I’m a sponge on set and always around to help as needed.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
Oh I’ve been extremely lucky! The two biggest things that stand out to me are being paired up with a director and true friend that I’ve worked with 5 times now, his name is Kevin Austra from Deleware and we’ve collaborated in 3 shorts and 2 features and his business mindset is wonderful thanks to him I’ve gotten 11 award wins total! I’m also very lucky to have met Christopher Matthew Spencer, I met him by happenstance as we go to Brian Cuter Actors studio for classes and if I would have been in class on a different day I would have never met him, he has become a mentor and has guided me and helped me in more ways than I can count, I owe a lot of my connections and success since I’ve moved to Los Angeles to him.
