Life & Work with Karina Perez of Panorama City

Today we’d like to introduce you to Karina Perez

Hi Karina, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It all started when I was working part-time at Trader Joe’s and was also a full-time student in college. Then one day on a scheduled shift, I was taking my 10 minute break when a talent agent approached me. She asked if I had done any modeling/acting and I told her that I had not but the thought of being an actress always crossed my mind. She gave me her contact information and, well, the rest is history.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have been lucky enough that it has been quite smooth. However, shortly after signing, Covid hit and there wasn’t much work as everything was closing. Two years later, things began to pick up so I quit my job at Trader Joe’s and became a full-time model.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I model and I specifically work with makeup and clothing brands. I’ve had the opportunity to work for brands I love which is pretty cool!

I would say I’m most proud of going outside my comfort zone. This enabled me to push my boundaries and get to where I am today. Never did I think I would be doing something like this and all I can say it’s been a dream come true.

I think my easy going personality sets me apart from others. I’m usually that person that’s talking to everyone.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
As an Angeleno, what’s not to love about LA? Lol! In all seriousness, I love the diversity, the different cultures, and the food. The only thing I truly dislike is traffic and I’m sure many of you can agree with me.
