Life & Work with JT Casey

Today we’d like to introduce you to JT Casey.

Hi JT, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started back in 2019 filming content for TikTok! After achieving around 4 million followers, I felt I wanted to monetize better and evolve my content – so I moved to YouTube! I now have over 9 million subscribers making content daily! This journey hasn’t been easy but I wouldn’t change anything because I’ve learned so much!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I think the biggest struggle (but most fun part for me) is the ever-changing landscape of social media. One week the type of content you’re creating will be generating tens of millions of views a day but after a month or 2, it becomes stale to the viewer and you need to pivot. This is also why in my opinion, Content creators have an average life Spand of 1 to 3 years because lots of creators fail to do this fast enough before it’s too late and the internet forgets about you. But with that said, it’s also my favorite part because it keeps me on my toes!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a social media creator with over 15 million followers across platforms and I’m known for my funny relatable skits and storytime videos! I’m most proud of my subscriber count over on YouTube which has taken me hours upon hours of work over the last two years to build up!

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
I think the biggest thing I learned from the COVID-19 crisis is that we can’t take anything for granted. The simple joys in life, like going to the grocery store and picking out your favorite flowers or going to a theme park, suddenly stop. It just taught me to be more grateful for all the small things in my life!
