Today we’d like to introduce you to Jon Huck.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I moved from the suburbs of Chicago to Los Angeles in November of 1999. With the help of a friend, I got involved in television production. I started doing standup in October of 2000 and acting followed soon after that. Been at it ever since.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There have definitely been some challenges along the way. But that’s a necessary part of it. I’ve learned that the obstacles in front of you, no matter what they are, are just part of the way forward. Those roadblocks and how you get over them or plow through them give you a much more interesting story. No one wants to hear about how easy it was for someone. That’s no fun.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a Comedian, Actor, Writer & Producer. I have been fortunate enough to be able to do those things alongside some extremely talented people both in front of and behind the camera. Also, I am forever grateful to anyone that’s ever come out to see me do standup, bought one of my albums, listened to any of my podcasts or simply not wished me dead. I sincerely appreciate it.
What matters most to you? Why?
Family & Friends matter most to me. I wouldn’t be able to do what I do without their support. Also, comedy, acting, music, baseball and our cat Mary Poopins.
