Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeff Kim.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Our journey first started off by asking Jordan if he wanted to make some videos to share with everyone. He was excited, he loves food, and he also loves to cook- he’s been a foodie since day 1, so he jumped on board right away.
We wanted a way to stay connected to our friends and family back in 2020 when things shut down. We thought putting out fun videos would be a great way to do so. Jordan has been funny and has had a huge personality ever since he was born, so we thought it would be great to capture it. It turns out a lot of people agreed, and to our surprise, our videos were a hit with not just our family but with a lot of people around the world.
We started off on YouTube, and then a friend of ours suggested we hop onto TikTok, so we started doing that, and that’s when things really started taking off. Currently, our TikTok family is at 3.4 million; it’s still so surreal to us. We even came out with a cookbook recently, Cooking with the Crunchbros. Jordan became a published author at six years old!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We have been really blessed throughout our journey. I guess one of our biggest challenges has been tackling writing a cookbook. My wife and I didn’t realize how much work went into them, it was not a walk in the park, but the results have definitely been worth it. We’re so proud of the family and our book.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Jordan and I are a father-son duo that are going through life and sharing some of our highlights with the rest of the world. We’re big-time foodies who love to cook and eat. We do mukbangs (eating shows), and we also showcase a lot of our local restaurants. We’re also well known for Jordan’s hilarious moments caught on camera. His side-eye being one of them.
We’re really proud of our cookbook that we just came out with. It was a family effort, and we all worked so hard on it. Jordan and Kaiya (his little sister) did amazing, and we’re really excited to share it with everyone.
