Life & Work with Jeff Addo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeff Addo.

The church is the first music opportunity for many artists in the world today, including the most successful ones. While many were interested in singing for the church, others simply did it out of obligation. J. Addo, born Jeff Addo, falls into the latter category, and it has turned out to be a blessing in disguise for him.

J. Addo has featured on media companies like MTV, BET, Music Choice, ABC 7, Fox 5, CBS, The Shade Room, Worldstar, WUSA9 and many others. His music style is based on feel-good sounds that can make people dance and feel happy. He sets himself apart with his work ethic and consistency. J. Addo believes preparing for the future begins now, and he ensures nothing gets in the way of releasing good music regularly. His strategy is to remain fresh in his audience’s minds by regularly putting out music and crisp, high-quality music videos to go alongside.

Some of J. Addo’s music include “Ain’t Right,” “Distant Love,” “Take Me There,” “Move Your Body,” and the most recent “Shake.” He has music videos for his songs on YouTube, where he tells the stories behind the songs while showcasing his musical and birth roots for the world to see. J. Addo never fails to recognize the support he receives from everyone around him and has on many occasions described them as his primary motivation to make music. “I was always told that there was beauty in the struggle, which is very true from the results I have seen. My family, my friends, my fans/supporters stream my stuff faithfully on Spotify, and my total YouTube views are almost at 800,000 views, for which I am forever grateful,” he revealed.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has not been smooth it has been full of ups and downs. From having a manager who scammed me the first time in 2013 but overall the blessings have been amazing. My mental health hasn’t always been the best which actually led me to take a hiatus from music from 2015 to 2019. 2019 is when I came back and started making music again.

J. Addo is a talented singer and songwriter who is on his way to becoming a household name in the industry. His efforts of rising above a highly competitive trade, coupled with his unparalleled passion and incredible abilities, have earned acclaim from various established authorities, industry powerhouses, and peers, cementing a stellar reputation across the trade. Drawing inspiration from his family, this power player is bound to take the industry by storm. I am proud to be an artist who actually has a true support system that shows up for me all the time. When I do music video shoots and shows, my support system shows up big time. I am a very versatile artist I do afrobeat’s and R&B and I do them both really well which separates me from my competition

How do you think about luck?
To be honest, I don’t believe in good luck or bad luck. I serve a very awesome God and Jesus Christ who are the providers of my journey. I won’t be where I am at today if it wasn’t for hard work, prayer, dedication and family.
